July 14, 2017 | 41 Comments

Announcing our next contest Quilters! Since it’s summer, we’ll keep it quick and easy to enter. Leave a comment after this post about what project you are working on, who it is being made for and what fabric(s) you are using to make the project. We’ll keep this contest open until July 31st. Enter once or enter several times, it’s your choice. Just name a different project you are working on each time. That’s it! Easy as can be. Looking forward to hearing from all of you. One comment will be chosen at random to win the prize of fabric.

Good luck and thank you.

I’m working on a Row By Row quilt (for me!). I am using kits for most of the rows (not so much stash-busting happening).

Last night, I finished printing my USA map to begin a queen-sized quilt. I also purchased fabric for a couple states although I may need to re-think one of them due to the size of the fabric’s print design.

I joined US Map Quilt Fabric Swap on Facebook and posted pictures of fabrics I thought others might be interested in. This morning, I sent fabrics to eight other members, and I’m in the middle of conversations with about a dozen more. To say I’m overwhelmed is a gross understatement! I plan to cut fabrics in the shape of states and applique them to a background fabric. I haven’t decided whether to add the Canadian provinces to my map yet. I may just have lost my mind!!!
