Announcing our next contest Quilters! Since it’s summer, we’ll keep it quick and easy to enter. Leave a comment after this post about what project you are working on, who it is being made for and what fabric(s) you are using to make the project. We’ll keep this contest open until July 31st. Several UFO’s on my sewing table — first is the stole for a friend soon to be ordained.

Last night, I finished printing my USA map to begin a queen-sized quilt. I also purchased fabric for a couple states although I may need to re-think one of them due to the size of the fabric’s print design.
That is amazing Lorraine! That is going to be amazing. How are you going to make it?
I joined US Map Quilt Fabric Swap on Facebook and posted pictures of fabrics I thought others might be interested in. This morning, I sent fabrics to eight other members, and I’m in the middle of conversations with about a dozen more. To say I’m overwhelmed is a gross understatement! I plan to cut fabrics in the shape of states and applique them to a background fabric. I haven’t decided whether to add the Canadian provinces to my map yet. I may just have lost my mind!!!
I think it’s amazing Lorraine. Thanks so much for letting me know.
Currently picking fabrics with the Grangirlie, to make a quilt for her bed…will be a Disappearing 9-Patch. She is leaning toward Me & My Sister’s “LOL” collection ๐ Definitely suits her too! Lol.. Fun & Happy!!
Lori – that sounds wonderful! So cute. Don’t you love working on Kids Quilts more than anything else? Thank you so much for taking the time to comment. I really appreciate it. Good luck in the contest.
